    <title lang="en">24 Hours in A&amp;e</title>
<desc>The story of three patients filmed over 24 hours at St George's Hospital - one of the busiest A&amp;E departments in Britain. This episode explores the hopes and expectations of three very different men and how they respond to changes that are beyond their control. Stanlie, who's 24, is airlifted to St George's by helicopter paramedics after being impaled on a metal rod at a construction site. Doctors need to quickly establish if there's any life-threatening internal damage. Stanlie is joined by his mum and his partner, who must stand by as doctors perform a chest drain in an attempt to help Stanlie breathe normally again. As the medical team work on his injuries, we hear about Stanlie's promising career in football cut short by an unlucky injury. Max and his two-year-old daughter Darcy come to St George's after being involved in a bus collision. Max has a severely damaged knee, but he's more concerned with the condition of his daughter. Max's dad talks about the difficulties he had at school and how these were mirrored in Max's own childhood. Meanwhile, in the urgent care centre, Richard has come to A&amp;E with sore joints. Emergency nurse practitioner Ali suspects it may be the beginning of arthritis. <desc>The RTS award-winning documentary series that follows patients who are treated in the same 24-hour period at St George's in south west London. This episode looks at the paths people take when they reach a crossroads in their lives, whether or not the decisions remain in their control. Dave, who's 56, is brought to St George's after falling from a ladder at work. Doctors are concerned that he may have life-changing damage to his spine and need to assess his injuries as quickly as possible. While the medical team take CT scans, it's revealed how Dave escaped the difficulties of his childhood after he moved to London and discovered the music and culture of the nightclub scene. But what started out as a means of escapism soon became a gateway to more destructive behaviour. Three-year-old Alf arrives in resus with his parents after being hit by a car. As doctors attempt to assess his injuries, his mum reveals how her life changed when she found out that she was pregnant and how a traumatic experience in childbirth changed her attitude to parenting. Finn, who's 26, is seen in the urgent care centre after being hit by a car while out jogging. <desc>Brand new: The series that celebrates unique and breathtaking landscapes and tells the story of island life. More than 4000 islands are scattered along our coastlines, lakes, lochs and rivers. Many of them are tiny and remote, and over 200 of them are called home. And what they lack in size they make up for in character, culture and community. From the born and bred islanders to the people who made the decision to move to a remote place, we meet the people who work the land and the sea, and those who care for the natural world.

Roc has lived off-grid on the stunning Scottish island of Gometra for over 30 years, with an inherently self-sufficient lifestyle; there are no shops or vehicles, and Roc's home doesn't have electricity or central heating. Inis Rath, on Lough Erne in Northern Ireland, is home to a special branch of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, known more informally as the Hare Krishnas. Its few residents devote themselves to daily prayer, gardening and maintaining the island. Meanwhile, on Sark, island life is the perfect fit for Aimee and her young family, from building their own home, to beekeeping and even being one of the community's first responders. And on the Scottish island of Berneray, Eilidh balances running the gift shop with exploring the island in her converted campervan. Series Prod: Liza Chambers; Prods/Dirs: Gary Watson, Jamie McBrien; Exec Prods: Brendan Hughes, Harry Bell, Neil Dimmock; Prod Co: Tern Television Production Ltd

Doctors are concerned that he may have serious injuries to his pelvis and spine. As doctors examine him, Paul's wife Sue reveals how their romance blossomed at a friend's 40th birthday party after they discovered a shared history. As the medical team plan the next stage of his treatment, Paul talks about how the unexpected kindness of a friend got his life back on track and changed his outlook forever. Four-year-old Jeremy is struggling to breathe. He has a series of chronic conditions, including microcephaly and epilepsy, and doctors are concerned that he may have a lung infection. As doctors work to stabilise Jeremy's condition, his father talks about how the family's lives changed when they were given his diagnosis shortly after he was born. And one of St George's longest-serving medical assistants, Keith, talks about how a life-changing car accident convinced him to pursue a career in healthcare. <desc>This episode takes place on the royal wedding day of Harry and Meghan, and excitement mounts across the emergency department. As Harry and Meghan tie the knot, the patients and their relatives reflect on the meaning of lifelong love, devotion and commitment. David, who's 74, is flown to St George's by air ambulance after falling from a ladder. Medics suspect internal bleeding and David is rushed for a CT scan to assess the damage. His wife Lynda makes her way to the hospital as doctors battle to prevent catastrophic blood loss and keep him alive. John, who's 92, has fallen down several steps at home. He is disorientated with a head wound, so he's taken for an urgent CT scan to uncover any injury to his brain. The medical team are alarmed to uncover an unexpected result from the CT scan, which forces a difficult conversation about John's future. By his side, John's wife of 60 years, Maggie, describes how he wooed her with a 'black and tan and rum chaser', leading to an idyllic family life, until his health took a turn for the worse. Londoner Minnie, who's 98, is in resus after experiencing severe pain and numbness in her leg. As the vascular team investigate a possible blood clot, Minnie's daughter Chris describes the extraordinary dedication and selflessness that her mum has shown throughout her life. <title lang="en">Our Tiny Islands</title>
<desc>The series that celebrates unique and breathtaking landscapes and tells the story of island life.
