<desc>This episode of the RTS award-winning documentary series focuses on older hospital patients who are often reluctant to get the help they need, and younger patients who are treated after very different accidents. Peter, who's 85, has been brought, unwillingly, to A&E by his stepson Brian. He cut his finger on some wire two weeks ago and his hand is swollen and won't stop bleeding. An X-ray shows it is dislocated. Emma, who's 23, is rushed to St George's after crashing her car on the way to her dad's for Sunday lunch. She was cut free from the car, her pride and joy, by firefighters. Emma has pain in her lower back and a loss of sensation in her legs. Medics are concerned she may have a back injury, so they send her for a CT scan. Harry, who's 86, is rushed to St George's after falling down a flight of stairs the day before, landing on his face. Meanwhile, 27-year-old Ciaran injured his ankle the previous night while out with friends: he fell while roller-skating at 1am. He was given a temporary cast at his local hospital and told to visit A&E. Emergency nurse practitioner Helen needs to get Ciaran X-rayed and re-plastered, but he faces a return visit for an operation. <desc>The RTS award-winning documentary series filmed around the clock at St George's hospital in south west London, which has one of Britain's most advanced and busiest A&E departments. This episode focuses on freedom, independence and renewal. Tree surgeon David, who's 27, is airlifted to St George's after falling 40 feet from a tree. He hit several branches on the way down, landed head-first on concrete and was knocked unconscious for 10 minutes. Anne, who's 74, arrives at St George's with a sharp pain in her chest. Anne was sent to a convent boarding school when she was just three, but she rebelled and was expelled and put in an asylum at the age of 11. Anne was released from the asylum after 30 years and she's now making up for lost time. Taxi driver Mark, who's 51, has come to A&E after lacerating his finger picking up some broken glass from the road. <desc>Campsite critics explore beautiful Britain in their beloved caravans, campervans and motorhomes, bringing us the ultimate guide to the very best campsites in Britain and helping us plan our own staycations. At each campsite, the hosts will be out to impress their guests, because at the end of each week, only one can be voted The Perfect Pitch, winning the coveted plaque and a £2000 cash prize. Ending their tour of north Wales in search of the perfect pitch, our seasoned campers arrive at The Oyster Farm Caravan Site on Anglesey. Marine biologist-turned-campsite host Shaun welcomes the campers with freshly caught oysters and his own oyster gin, before sending them on an aquatic tour of the nearby Puffin Island. But will it be enough to earn this back-to-basics campsite a five-star rating? Finally, it's decision time for Manthe and Corinne, Matt and Ryan, and David and Carolynne, as they select north Wales's perfect pitch. After arriving at Kirkby Park B&B - via the local industrial estate - Annette is immediately on her guard after spotting the CCTV camera on the outside of the house. Things don't get much better during the room inspection, as guests find dust, curly hair, unspecified dirt, stains and a hole in the wall. A visit to Knowsley Safari Park provides a chance for the guests to monkey about, and all that fun makes things a little sweaty in the back of the Land Rover, so it's back to the B&B for a shower... which is easier said than done, as the Kirkby shower rota proves fallible. The property was a doer-upper but hasn't been done up yet! Paul wants to list it. Across the seasons, they take on life on the farm and the epic renovation of Anty John's - a dilapidated stone barn with an incredible history. A second Christmas during the Owens' epic farmhouse renovation is fast approaching, and Amanda and the kids are preparing their collection of farm animals and pets - including sheep, cows, horses and miniature pony Tony - for the cold weather. Up at Anty John's, with the scaffolding now down, builder Richard is keen to get doors fitted so that the house is protected from the elements. Meanwhile, Amanda and her daughter Clemmie meet historian Derek to walk in the footsteps of Anty John's former occupant, diarist Anthony Clarkson, who lived and breathed the same Swaledale air 200 years ago. Christmas Day arrives, and the Owens' three resident goats get their presents from Santa, which means goats in new coats running around Ravenseat. With eldest sister Raven on a visit home, the kids make the most of sunny Boxing Day weather to paddleboard on the local tarn, and Amanda surprises them with decorations and festive cheer at Anty John's when a fire is lit inside for the first time in decades. As 2024 draws to a close, Amanda reflects in her diary on how far the renovation has come over the past 12 months and sees some difficult decisions ahead in the next stage, as the focus turns to the inside of Anty John's. <desc>The RTS award-winning documentary series filmed around the clock at St George's hospital in south west London, which has one of the world's busiest and most advanced A&E departments. This episode features patients who believe in keeping their chin up and carrying on, no matter what life throws at them. Professional actor Dudley, who's 68, has come to A&E after breaking his shoulder in a fall while rushing to catch a train. Dudley may need surgery, but he's got a performance tonight and the show must go on. But during his treatment doctors think there might be something seriously wrong. Barbara, who's 82, and her 80-year-old husband Clarence are brought to St George's after being knocked over by a motorbike while crossing the road. Doctors are most worried about Barbara, who arrives by helicopter with a head wound and a badly broken leg. Paramedics bring in a man who's collapsed after taking drugs. Doctors need to discover what drugs he's taken before deciding how to treat him, while the police want to question him once the effects of the drugs have worn off. Meanwhile, 88-year-old Isabel has a swollen leg. She talks about her failed marriage to a much younger man when she was 50.
