Meanwhile, fresh from his previous series victory, Phil Spencer wows us all with some spectacular abodes in an effort to persuade our families to list their current homes. <desc>Bafta Award-nominated 24 Hours in Police Custody follows the detective work of Bedfordshire Police around the clock. This episode explodes onto TV screens with a man walking out of a hotel lift covered in blood and holding a fire extinguisher. He approaches the reception desk shouting that he has killed someone. As the terrified receptionist tries to ring 999, the man grabs the phone, but the police have been alerted and they're already racing to the scene. Cameras follow every twist and turn as detectives from the Major Crime Unit try to disentangle what really happened at the hotel close to Luton Airport, which has suddenly become a chaotic and bloody crime scene. This is real-life drama at its most intense. Throughout the series, cameras follow each case in forensic detail as the officers race against time to disentangle the evidence and build a case, which they then put to their suspects in interview. <desc>This episode goes behind the scenes at St George's hospital focusing on the important links we have to our immediate family and the qualities that we inherit from our parents. Seven-year-old Freddie is brought to A&E after falling several metres from a tree in his garden. He's been in and out of consciousness and vomiting. Doctors are concerned he could have head or spinal injuries and rush him to the CT scanner. Freddie's mum and dad are by his bedside. Dad Sam talks about how a close friend's death when he was growing up made him very risk averse, but how Freddie is quite the opposite. Meanwhile, 66-year-old Martin is brought in after collapsing at home and spending the night on the floor. He's suffering from poor eyesight and dizziness. The stroke team diagnose a blood clot, but because of the amount of time since his collapse, clot-busting drugs will have little effect. As the severity of the situation becomes clear, Martin's daughter Marieke talks about her close bond with her dad. And eight-year-old Jayden has come to St George's with swollen eyes, the result of severe hay fever. While he's being treated, Mum Altina talks about bringing him up on her own and how Jayden thinks she should have another man in her life. <sub-title lang="en">A Moment of Madness</sub-title>
Series Dir: John Douglas; Exec Prods: Simon Ford, Hamo Forsyth, Flavia Taylor; Prod Co: The Garden Productions
