<title lang="en">Me and You and Everyone We Know</title>
<desc>Miranda July directs and stars in this Sundance-winning film as Christine Jesperson, a struggling artist who meets divorced father-of-two Richard Swersey (John Hawkes). There's a mutual attraction but she moves too fast, and what could have been an easy relationship takes time to re-establish itself. Pleasantly quirky. with great support from Miles Thompson and Brandon Ratcliff as the two sons, July's film exemplifies the spirit of independent filmmaking in America.

    <title lang="en">The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw</title>
<desc>Raoul Walsh directs this spoof western starring Kenneth More and Jayne Mansfield. Quintessential Englishman Jonathan Tibbs (More) prefers inventing to working at his uncle's gunsmith business. But with the threat of financial ruin looming, Jonathan is put in charge of saving the day. And where better to find a constant demand for guns than the 19th-century American Wild West? But things go a step too far when he finds himself conned into becoming the sheriff in the lawless town of Fractured Jaw. Faced with drinking duels, gunslingers and unruly cowboys, can Jonathan and his bumbling English charm bring peace to a volatile environment? And will he also manage to woo feisty saloon bartender Kate (Mansfield), in the process?

    <title lang="en">The Green Mile</title>
<desc>Prison drama. Tom Hanks stars in director Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's novel (the second King novel Darabont and Hanks brought to the big screen, after The Shawshank Redemption). It's 1935 and Paul Edgecomb (Hanks) is head guard on a Louisiana prison's death row, known locally as the green mile. He's a kind man who aims to make life as easy as possible for himself, his colleagues and the condemned prisoners. But things start to get strange when John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) - a man-mountain with learning disabilities who has been convicted of raping and murdering two girls - arrives. Coffey banishes Hanks' urinary infection with a touch, brings a dead pet mouse back to life and cures the chief warden's wife of cancer. His healing abilities and gentleness make the prison staff question his guilt. But can anything prevent Coffey's appointment with the execution chamber?

    <title lang="en">Glass</title>
<desc>M. Night Shyamalan directs an all-star cast in this genre-bending superhero sequel that follows on from Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). Weeks after the events of Split - when Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with 24 different personalities, imprisoned three girls in a lair beneath Philadelphia Zoo - Kevin remains at large. He's up to his old tricks again, and is holding four cheerleaders hostage in an abandoned factory. David Dunn (Bruce Willis), a classic antihero with superhuman strength and mind-reading abilities who miraculously survived a train wreck in Unbreakable, tracks Kevin down to put an end to his reign of terror. When the authorities discover David and Kevin - as his superhuman personality The Beast - fighting, the two men are transported to a special psychiatric facility, where ultra-intelligent Mr Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), who originally caused the aforementioned train wreck, is also incarcerated. There, the three men are subjected to the therapy of Dr Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson), a psychiatrist who firmly believes that there's no such thing as superhumans and preaches this gospel to her patients. But they know different, and they're not happy about their existence constantly being denied. They need to escape. A collaboration might be on the cards... Also starring Anna Taylor-Joy and Spencer Treat Clark.
