<desc>Writer-director Shola Amoo's semi-autobiographical coming-of-age drama follows a young boy's journey from idyllic countryside in Lincolnshire to high-rise flats in London. Femi (Tai Golding/Sam Adewunmi) enjoys a happy childhood with a doting foster mother (Denise Black), until his life is uprooted when he is returned to his birth mother (Gbemisola Ikumelo). Femi struggles to navigate his new environment and its different culture and values, not to mention the different methods of discipline. As he approaches adulthood in the early 2000s, Femi attempts to balance his studies with his street life while he grapples with his identity as a young Black man. Can Femi break down the barriers he has built up? And if so, is he prepared to tackle society's?

Returning to Berlin, Rommel becomes involved with Colonel von Stauffenberg's (Eduard Franz) plot to assassinate Hitler (Luther Adler). But the dictator escapes the bomb, and the conspirators are rounded up and given an unenviable choice.

<desc>Garth Davis's debut feature is an emotional drama starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Sunny Pawar, based on the memoir A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley. Five-year-old Saroo (Pawar) is out with his brother Guddu (Abhishek Bharate) hunting for lost change in train carriages, when he falls asleep on a platform bench. He wakes up alone, panics and boards a train. But the train does not stop until Kolkata - over 1,500 miles away. The vast and teeming city is hard enough for adults to navigate, but for a five-year-old boy who cannot speak the language, it's impossible. But he survives long enough to be adopted by Australian couple Sue (Kidman) and John (David Wenham). Two decades later, Saroo (now played by Patel) is leading a happy, fulfilled life in Tasmania. But curiosity about and longing for where he came from and the family he lost lurks just below the surface. And it is the Indian treat jalebi that acts as the Proustian trigger to kick start Saroo's search. But will he be able to find his lost family? And what effect will it have on his adopted parents? Top tip - it's worth having a box of tissues handy while watching.

<title lang="en">The Equalizer Triple Bill: The Equalizer 2</title>
<desc>Denzel Washington returns for a second outing as Robert McCall and, if you'll forgive the cliché, this time it is actually personal, as the retired CIA agent tracks down the killers of an agency contact who he also considered a friend in Antoine Fuqua's action crime thriller sequel. Since the first film, not much has changed for McCall, who continues to dispatch hardened criminals with extreme prejudice. But he does have a different day job - he's now a cab driver, which keeps him in touch with the city's seedy underbelly and brings him into contact with people who might benefit from his unique skillset. But then his repetitive, if brutal, routine is disrupted when his agency contact and friend, Susan (Melissa Leo), is murdered. Now the world's most violent bookworm must use his brain and brawn to track down her killers. He usually dispatches criminals swiftly and with dispassionate ease, while timing it on his stopwatch. But can he retain his customary composure now that the crime is so close to home?

    <title lang="en">80 for Brady</title>
<desc>Heartwarming comedy based on a true story about four women in their ninth decade whose devotion to each other is matched only by their love of NFL quarterback Tom Brady. Trish is a hopeless romantic and serial monogamist (she also writes racy football fan fiction). Lou might have cancer, but she can't face reading the diagnosis. Betty is devoted to her MIT professor husband but feels unappreciated. And Maura has recently been widowed. They win a radio sweepstake by sharing stories of their devotion to the New England Patriots, and despite Betty's concern that 'the Super Bowl is no place for old women', and the small matter of breaking Maura out of her retirement fortress, they pile off to Houston for the big game. Adventures along the way include some spice-induced intestinal distress, a bit of medicinal cannabis, and a stint as Lady GaGa's halftime show dancers. Lessons are learned, laughs are laughed and hugs are hugged, as the friends mull over their past and consider the future. Will the Patriots win? It actually isn't that important.
