Great Depression-era thriller starring and produced by Margot Robbie. Life in 1930s small-town Texas is hard. As well as suffering from the symptoms of the Depression, dust storms and drought add to the misery. On a dying farm, teenager Eugene (Finn Cole) lives with his mother (Kerry Condon), police deputy stepfather (Travis Fimmel) and younger half-sister (Darby Camp). But then a break from the mundanity of his life arrives in the shape of a $10,000 reward for alleged bank robber and murderer, Allison Wells (Robbie). Having found solace in detective comics, Eugene and his friend Joe (Stephen Dinh) decide to search for her. It's not long before Eugene finds Allison wounded in an abandoned barn where he goes to read. The pair agree on a deal - he will tend to her wounds if she tells him her side of the story. She insists that she did not kill anyone, and that the banks she robbed stole from her family. She also offers him double her bounty to help her flee the country.
