    <title lang="en">The Hunt</title>
<desc>Upon release, director Craig Zobel's bloody horror starring Hilary Swank and Betty Gilpin received unprecedented publicity when US President Donald Trump tweeted to say that the film was a product of liberal Hollywood and 'made to inflame and cause chaos'. Of course, he hadn't seen it. But what got his red MAGA knickers so twisted? The film is about a cabal of 'liberal elites' who dump a load of 'deplorables' - working class conservatives - in the middle of nowhere, provide them with weapons, and then hunt them to the death. Hardly a sympathetic portrayal of lefties, you'd think. Athena Stone (Swank) heads up the elites, casually organising the hunt via text from her private jet. On the other side, Crystal (Gilpin) is the potential thorn in the side of the muddled hippies who want to hunt her. And perhaps she'll bring them down. So, what was Trump so annoyed about? Liberal Hollywood portraying itself as having enough power to hunt his voters? Or perhaps the mere suggestion that they are just as good at using guns? Political satire, or schlock horror? Whatever the case, you've heard the hype, now see the film. Based on Richard Connell's 1924 short story, The Most Dangerous Game.

<desc>Brian Levant's festive all-action comedy stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as workaholic dad Howard Langston. All that Howard's son Jamie (Jake Lloyd) wants for Christmas is the must-have toy Turbo Man, but it's Christmas Eve and it's sold out everywhere. Howard sets out on a quest to find one, but must compete with rival Turbo Man-hunter Myron Larabee (Sinbad) as they both search high and low for the toy. Meanwhile, back home, Howard's neighbour Ted (Phil Hartman) sets his sights on Howard's increasingly disillusioned wife Liz (Rita Wilson).

    <title lang="en">Tooth Fairy</title>
<desc>Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson stars in Michael Lembeck's family fantasy comedy about a tough-guy sportsman who learns the hard way not to puncture a child's illusions. Derek Thompson (Johnson) is an ice hockey pro whose main tactic is flattening opponents - often depriving them of a tooth or two in the process. His aggression has earned him the nickname 'Tooth Fairy', but when he unsportingly tells his girlfriend's daughter that tooth fairies don't exist, the very real fairies decide to teach him a lesson. He's whipped away to Fairy Land, where he's sentenced to a week's community service as a tooth fairy. He sprouts wings, receives an outfit completely at odds with his macho image and is given a (reluctant) mentor (Stephen Merchant). As the comedic misunderstandings and slapstick errors mount, it's all too clear that Thompson isn't cut out for his new line of work. Also starring Ashley Judd, Seth McFarlane, Julie Andrews and Billy Crystal. Edited for violence.

<desc>Lewis Gilbert's Second World War drama stars Kenneth More as Captain John Shepherd, who is charged with masterminding the British attack on Germany's largest battleship, The Bismarck. As the enemy ship, captained by Captain Lindemann (Carl Mohner), breaks out from its anchorage in Norway to join the rest of the German fleet at Brest, Shepherd, from his control room in London's Admiralty building, sends out the British ships to take on her might. The mix of war footage, newsreels and superb models conveys the climatic sea battles, while More gives a strong performance as the unflappable Shepherd.

<desc>Action spy caper starring Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger and Lupita Nyong'o as international agents who team up in an attempt to retrieve some stolen tech that could end the world. In Colombia, suave rogue Elijah Clarke (Jason Flemyng) meets gangster Santiago (Pablo Scola) to buy a data key. This code can control anything, so whoever holds it can blow up planes, blackout a city, disrupt financial markets and... start World War III. Because he's a suave rogue, Clarke has no intention of paying and it all kicks off. But during the melee, the key falls into Colombian intelligence agent Luis Rojas's (Edgar Ramirez) hands. And he just wants to give it to the American authorities. So CIA operative Mason 'Mace' Brown (Chastain) and her colleague and potential friend-with-benefits Nick (Sebastian Stan) are dispatched to Paris to meet Rojas. But, once again, it all kicks off, and during this melee the key falls into German agent Marie Schmidt's (Kruger) hands. And so things continue until the only way to get the key back and save the world is for Mace to join forces with Schmidt, recruit MI6 college friend and hacker Khadijah (Nyong'o) and Colombian intelligence agency psychologist Dr Graciela Rivera (Cruz) and go get it done. But not everyone is necessarily who they seem... Directed by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Dark Phoenix), who co-writes with Theresa Rebeck (NYPD Blue/Smash).
