As detectives began a fast-moving murder investigation, CCTV and digital forensics quickly identified the suspect as teenager Osita Alagbaoso. Osita and his friends Joseph Matimba and Hassan Tejan were arrested within hours. The motive for the murder lay in the digitals. The men were once friends but now belonged to rival gangs that had become embroiled in a dispute over counterfeit £20 notes used to buy cannabis, culminating in a terrifying chase through a shopping centre between armed gang members.
