    <title lang="en">Murdered: The Baby on the Beach</title>
<desc>Part of True Crime on Channel 4. In 1984, the body of a violently murdered baby boy was found on a beach in County Kerry. The search for answers launched a gripping police investigation by the local Gardai which involved detectives from across Ireland. Much to the disbelief of the local community, the official investigation cast suspicion on Joanne Hayes, a woman from the north of Kerry. Despite a lack of substantial evidence, the Gardai were determined to prove that Joanne murdered the baby on the beach. This gripping three-part mini-series revisits the case that sparked outrage among women across the country and led to a highly publicised tribunal of inquiry. The case, which remained unsolved for nearly 40 years, had a sudden breakthrough, bringing us closer today to understanding what truly happened to Baby John. The series meticulously unravels the early days of the investigation and connects to present-day developments, where forensic technology played a crucial role in clearing Joanne Hayes' name, and provides a chance to uncover the truth about the baby on the beach. In the first episode, it's 1984, and a quiet rural town in South Kerry is shocked by the discovery of a brutally murdered baby. This event triggers a gripping investigation into an inconceivable crime. Joanne Hayes and her family become the lead suspects of the investigation, which was mainly focused on finding women who had recently given birth - much like Joanne. During police interrogations, the Hayes family concede an impossible confession to the murder. In a shocking turn of events, the remains of another baby are discovered on the Hayes family farm. These remains are said to be those of Joanne's actual baby which died shortly after being born. This new evidence cast doubts on both the investigative authorities and the Hayes family. This sudden twist in the investigation provokes the question: is there still a chance of finding out what happened to the baby on the beach?Prod: Mariana Rios Sanchez; Exec Prods: Sinéad Stimpfig, Jonathan Ford; Dir: David Harvey; Prod Co: Peninsular TV

<desc>Part of True Crime on Channel 4. Forty years ago, the discovery of a murdered baby's remains on a County Kerry beach set off a series of shocking twists. In the second episode of this engrossing tale, the Irish police are determined to prove that the murdered baby belongs to local woman Joanne Hayes, although they don't have any critical evidence. The true murderer in the Kerry baby case is yet to be identified. The prosecutor makes a crucial decision to drop the charges against Joanne Hayes and the family. Questions are now asked about the validity of the Hayes' confessions, and a tribunal of inquiry is established to examine the methods used by the Gardai. However, it becomes evident that the tribunal's focus is not on scrutinising the Gardai's actions but on targeting the Hayes family, with a particularly biased and relentless approach towards Joanne Hayes.Prod: Mariana Rios Sanchez; Exec Prods: Sinéad Stimpfig, Jonathan Ford; Dir: David Harvey; Prod Co: Peninsular TV

<desc>Part of True Crime on Channel 4. Forty years ago, the discovery of a murdered baby's remains on a County Kerry beach set off a series of shocking twists. In the final episode of this engrossing tale, the injustices against local woman Joanne Hayes and her family reach alarming heights as the tribunal of inquiry relentlessly attacks them. It becomes evident that the tribunal, led by Judge Kevin Lynch, is biased against Joanne, using intrusive and irrelevant questions as a deliberate tactic to preserve the Gardai's reputation. The tribunal transforms into a public spectacle, infuriating women across the nation. Protests rally in support of Joanne, igniting a powerful movement questioning the treatment of women and their autonomy over their bodies. The tribunal unwittingly becomes a catalyst for a transformative shift in public perception regarding the rights and treatment of women. In 2018, DNA analysis finally exonerates Joanne Hayes from any connection to the Kerry baby. Five years later, two individuals are arrested as the investigation gets closer than ever to discovering what truly happened to the baby on the beach. <title lang="en">Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids</title>
<desc>Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her family are back. Filmed between spring and winter 2025 as their build approaches its second anniversary, we follow the family as they continue to transform a run-down Yorkshire farmhouse into their new family home - Anty John's - while continuing to run their busy Swaledale farm.

It's summer and the children are making the most of the school holidays, swimming in the stream and going off in search of their new peacock chicks. As the second anniversary of the renovation of Anty John's nears, builder Richard enjoys the sunshine in between days toiling with lime plastering - 'plastercise' he calls it - while Clive's old pal Collop arrives to help out. On a beautiful day, Clive and Clemmie spend some precious father and daughter time as they inspect the field near Anty John's, giving Clemmie the chance to show off her knowledge of wildflowers. Raven returns to help celebrate Nancy's ninth birthday with the rest of the family. Now the oldest child working on the farm, Miles helps Amanda and Clive with shearing and reveals his thoughts on his farming future as Sid talks about his love of tractors. And Sid and Amanda inspect a vital bridge that's collapsed on the track up to Anty John's, calling in the cavalry in the shape of Reuben and Sonny, while Nancy and Clem have fun jumping into a pile of wool in the barn. But not for ex-advertising man Geoff, who's decided to spend his golden years building a dramatically cantilevered steel-framed house on a flood plain. At 63 years old, Geoff is selling his luxury villa in Spain to take on one of the biggest challenges of his life - a flood-resistant architectural marvel on the Essex coast budgeted at a whopping £700,000. Unlike his daughter, Geoff sees no risk in sinking every penny he has into this unusual building, and he moves into a small caravan on site: the ultimate bachelor pad. This is his base through wind and rain as he project-manages the complicated construction of a house designed to be safe in a one-in-a-thousand-year flood event. But after £190,000-worth of anchoring steel and concrete foundations are drilled over 14 metres into the ground, Geoff hits double trouble - the Covid-19 pandemic and a collapse in the Spanish property market. Without funds to continue, and trapped in his cold caravan, the odds are stacked against him. But he refuses to give up. There's one expression this East End boxer knows well: no guts, no glory!
